Crafted Prayer by Graham Cooke

  • March 12th, 2008

Crafted Prayer - Graham CookeGraham Cooke has some amazing testimonies, and inspiring messages. This book is by far the most practical and attainable guide to prayer I’ve come accross. In his book, Graham describes the concept of crafted prayers, how they have impacted his life and testimonies of applied prayers. These are not shotgun prayers, they’re prayers crafted under the guidance of the Spirit, and then PUSHed through (Prayed Until Something Happens), or until the burden is lifted. If you don’t see radical answers to your prayers, this book is a must read. You can order this book as an downloadable PDF ($5) or printed book for $7 from http://brilliantbookhouse.com

Shaping History through prayer and fasting: Derek Prince

  • August 3rd, 2007

Shaping History through prayer and fasting: Derek PrinceThis was one of the books that was handed out during “The Call, Nashville 07-07-07,” I started reading it as I was walking back to my car, and on the plane back to Minnesota.  This book is amazing.  Coupled with the “The Call,” my perspectives on prayer to change the nation has been significantly altered.  Praying for our government and for strongholds over our nation to be released has a sense of urgency mixed with faith.  I highly recommend this book.  The first few chapters cover prayer in a very concise way, stirring up your faith to restore the earth that God has given to the sons of man.

A Soaking That Cleanses and Refreshes - Gary Oates

  • October 22nd, 2006

Gary Oates is not talking about his many experiences with Angels here, but what he attributes these frequent encounters with angels to. For about four years, Gary Oates has been “practicing the presence of God.” This message is awesome!

The Lost Art of Practicing His Presence - James W. Goll

  • October 22nd, 2006

The Lost Art of Practicing His PresenceWhat does it mean to “be still and know that I am God,” what did Jesus and the disciples mean when they talked about being “united with Christ.” Questions, we sort of knew the answer to, occasionaly experienced, but never practiced, how do you “practice” the presence of God. James W. Goll spent time researching some of the not-so-well-known heroes in the faith, St Theresa being one of them, he includes some of the key pieces of her writings and others describing the phases of the Christian walk, and the presence of God. This book stirred up my hunger for practicing His presence daily. This book is excellent, anointed and stirring. I will say this though, I found it lead me almost all the way there, but left something missing. Perhaps this was intentional, to build the yearning… If you feel God calling you deeper, to a place you haven’t been before. You will love this book! You can purchase this book on Morningstar’s website. This book also includes all the letters of Brother Lawrence, that were previously compiled in a book, “Practicing the Presence of God,” which you will find incredibly inspiring and challenging as Brother Lawrence with almost reckless abandon pursues the manifest presence of God…

The Power to Change the World - Rick Joyner

  • September 11th, 2006

The Power to Change the World - Rick JoynerI was inspired, prepared and left hungry for more of God after reading about the Welsh and Azusa Street revivals.  The prophet Isaiah wrote, “Before going into labor, she gave birth; before her pains came, she delivered a male child.  Who has ever heard of such a thing?  Who has ever seen such things?  Is a country born in one day?  Is a nation brought forth all at once?” (Isaiah 66:7-8)  Reading about these revivals, you can see how God is able to bring about a nation all at once.  The suddenlies of God brought about during revival are awesome and powerful.  The book stirs up a hunger for the deep things of God and Rick Joyner provides insights into these and other revivals to prepare us for the coming revival and coming harvest that is greater than any other before it.  You can purchase The Power to Change the World here.

Parenting by the Spirit

Parenting by the Spirit - Kathie WaltersThis book is spot-on. I so enjoyed the content, the wisdom, and it’s a light and easy read. I hope this book takes off in a big way amongst Christian parents.  Not only does Kathie Walters provide sound principles for rasing godly children, but she also talks about some of her personal experiences which build your faith!

Living in the Supernatural

Living in the Supernatural - Kathie WaltersThis is another excellent book by Kathie Walters and one I highly recommend. Kathy Walters describes many of her experiences in the Spirit including angelic visitations. This book is full of wisdom, insight and stirs up my spirit for the things of God. It’s material like this that keeps “my mind on the things above and not on the things below.”

The Spirit of False Judgement

  • July 4th, 2006

The Spirit of False Judgement: Kathie WaltersKathie Walters writes, “Sometimes we just have to be there.  Maybe that’s all we can do.  It is only God who is able to sort out the messes and bring healing and sometimes that takes a little time.  Meanwhile, don’t judge.  If the Lord gives you a word, that’s great, but if he doesn’t, your own observations will not bring deliverance, even if they are correct.  Your heart has to be the same as God’s heart for that person.”  Another element that’s emphasised in the book is unity in the Body of Christ and how the spirit of false judgement (critical spirits) inhibit the flow of the Holy Spirit.  About thriteen years ago I was priveldged to be a part of a major outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we were on an Easter youth camp and everyone was expecting a fresh move of God, but it took about two-three days before God did move.  During the first few days God restored unit amongst the people, it was amazing to watch even as my heart was changed.  There was a young man, Joe whom I would not have taken the time to get to know because of his outward appearance and because of his limited mental capacity.  During these few days, my heart and the hearts of others were so changed that we truly loved one another.  I took the time to fellowship with Joe, his love and ecouragement were something I learnt from.  It was only after God had restored unity that His Spirit began to move in powerful ways.

Rick Joyner’s comments on the Da Vinci Code

  • May 8th, 2006

Rick Joyner is what I would consider one of the most annointed men of our time. I have learned so much from his books and teachings, wisdom and humility. Rick has taken some time to highlight the underlying motives behind such a book.

Keys To Heaven’s Economy

  • January 2nd, 2006

Keys to Heaaven's EconomyThis book is simply amazing, the anointing of God is all over this book.  I found the book on the ElijahList and each time I read the title I knew something was there for me.  When I read the introduction, “The Lord’s audible voice filled the room, introducing the angel standing before me: ‘Welcome the Minister of Finance for the Kingdon.’” my spirit jumped inside.  Shawn Bolz describes the visitation from the Minister of Finance for the Kingdom and reveals truths that I think have been hidden for centuries, if not millenia.  The unfolding of these truths for this time are an indication of the preparation of the Bride of Christ for this time, so that we might bring Jesus His full inheritance.  You can purchase the book on the ElijahList.

The Gift of Prophecy

  • January 1st, 2006

The Gift of ProphecyWritten by Jack Deere, this book is very good and very inspiring.  I so appreciated the little glimpses of the life of Paul Cain.  Jack Deere’s writing style is easy to read and the incorporation of his life experiences presented in humility make this a book that made me grow.  Although I appreciated the book more from the perspective of “how God works in our lives today,” the information on prophecy and it’s role in our lives, what it is and what it is not, is excellent.  This is a great resource!
